Lakalut mouth rinse active 300ml

The Lakalut line of toothpastes includes many different items, and each product has its own specific properties, so let's see which option is right for you...

Domestic consumers seeking high quality at an affordable price often gravitate toward German-made products. Well, Lakalut toothpastes are no exception here, as they are produced in Germany - and many are not averse to buying them for this reason alone.

But are they really that good, do Lakalut toothpastes have their own “zest” and what is important for the average consumer to know in advance (before purchasing) - we will talk about this in more detail later...

On a note

The LACALUT line of products has been on the market for almost a century, and the first toothpastes of this brand appeared in the 20s of the 20th century. The manufacturer is Dr. Theiss Naturwaren GmbH - this German pharmaceutical holding has branches in many countries, and its toothpastes are sold in more than 50 countries around the world.

Since 1977, Lacalut toothpastes appeared in the USSR, and today they are popular in all countries of the post-Soviet space. You can buy such a paste at almost any more or less large pharmacy.

If you are looking for a German toothpaste, then Lakalut is made in Germany...

On the official website, Lakalut toothpastes are presented in dozens of varieties, among which the key and most popular are the following series (including several pastes at once):

  • Lakalut Active;
  • Lakalut White;
  • Lakalut Sensitive;
  • As well as a series of children's toothpastes.

Before we talk about them in more detail, one important nuance should be noted: all Lakalut toothpastes contain aluminum lactate. It was from the first syllables of the name of this substance that the brand name “Lacalut” was created.

On a note

Aluminum lactate is an aluminum salt of lactic acid: this compound has a pronounced astringent and hemostatic effect, as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, Lakalut toothpastes are recommended, first of all, for people who experience inflammation in the oral cavity, periodontal disease and bleeding gums.

The most characteristic feature of all Lacalut toothpastes is the presence of aluminum lactate in their composition.

For those who are inclined to succumb to some of the hysteria that has reigned around aluminum salts lately: Lacalut brand products have been tested and approved by the German Dental Society, with the children's series being awarded by the Children's Dental Center of the University of Leipzig. The State Research Institute of Dentistry of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation also confirmed the high quality of all products of the brand.

In general, not only ordinary consumers (with rare exceptions), but also experienced dentists respond positively to Lakalut toothpastes.

Review

“I have been familiar with Lakalut pastes for about 20 years. I myself work as a dentist, so I know that in the 90s of the last century these German pastes were the only normal option, although they were quite expensive then. And what’s surprising is that the quality has remained at its best throughout all this time. A couple of generations of patients have already passed through my hands, and I recommend Lakalut to anyone who is interested. I am observing the result: in general, in patients switching to Lakalut, caries appears less often and the gums are healthy. I myself use Lakalut Active. Excellent tools."

Lakalut series of toothpastes for adults

In total, the Lacalut line of pastes for adults includes almost twenty items. It would seem easy to get confused. However, in this assortment three key groups can be distinguished:

In addition, the range includes others, including somewhat exotic toothpastes: Fitoformula, Alpin, Duo, Basic, Fluor, Fluor Gel and Flora.

And another example - Lakalut Fluor

Review

“I’ve been using Lakalut toothpastes for a long time, so I’m leaving my review. Over the course of several years, I tried almost all the series, and after a while I was not particularly thrilled. Some pastes are generally the same, only the name and taste are slightly different. The whitening series was a separate disappointment. I didn’t notice any whitening; it even seemed to me that a slight creamy tint appeared on my teeth. It’s not that it’s become terrible, but you still expect from such a brand that its promises are kept. I only like the active series, now I use it as my main one, and sometimes I experiment with whitening pastes from other brands.”

Lacalut in toothpaste ratings

If you study any modern rating of toothpastes, you will notice that at least one Lacalut name is present in it, and most often in the first 3-5 lines. This is explained quite simply:

  • “Lakalut” is a very common paste; it can be purchased in almost any store, pharmacy or supermarket, which makes it possible for every buyer to appreciate it;
  • According to users, Lakalyut is fully effective and worth the money spent;
  • a wide range allows you to choose toothpaste for a specific type of problem;
  • in some cases, the result is noticeable immediately after the first application.

However, this brand also has some disadvantages. The main ones are high cost and the impossibility of regular use.

Lakalyut toothpaste, the price of which starts at 150 rubles, is significantly inferior in this regard to, say, Colgate or Pearl, so customer preferences often lean towards the latter. As for regularity, this negative side is relative: Lacalut products are classified more as medicinal products, despite the presence in the assortment of several pastes with the possibility of daily use.

Lakalut Active

So, the Active series includes 3 toothpastes:

  • Lacalut Active;
  • Lacalut Active Herbal;
  • Lacalut Aktiv intensive cleansing.

Lacalut Aktiv toothpaste is positioned as a preventative agent that protects against periodontitis, strengthens the gums, reduces their bleeding, and at the same time prevents the development of caries.

Lakalut Active toothpaste is suitable for those people who have problems with their gums (pain, inflammation, bleeding, etc.)

Thus, Lakalut Active toothpaste is intended primarily for problem gums, and can act as both a preventive and therapeutic agent.

The photo below shows the composition of Lakalut Active toothpaste:

Composition of Lakalut Active paste

The composition shows that the main anti-inflammatory components are aluminum lactate, bisabolol and allantoin. In such a triple combination it’s a pretty good option.

It is also useful to read: Asepta toothpastes: composition features and reviews of their use

It is also worth paying attention to the presence of a powerful antibacterial component - chlorhexidine. The fact is that too long-term use of powerful antiseptics can lead to dysbiosis of the oral cavity (in fact, this is the same thrush, the only difference being that it develops in the mouth). Perhaps this is why the manufacturer recommends using Lakalut Active paste only in courses (30-60 days).

Separately, it is worth noting the presence of sodium lauryl sulfate in the composition, around which there has recently been a lot of talk about its “terrible” harm to human health: this compound is credited with almost carcinogenic properties. However, most of the dangers are greatly exaggerated, but this substance, apparently, can still contribute to stomatitis, so it is strange that the manufacturer has not replaced this substance with an alternative.

Thus, by purchasing Lakalut Active toothpaste, the consumer receives a wide range of therapeutic and preventive effects:

  • Antiseptic;
  • Anticarious;
  • Anti-inflammatory;
  • Hemostatic;
  • Increased resistance of tooth enamel to acids (due to fluorides);
  • Strengthening the enamel structure (also due to fluorides);
  • It also reduces the painful sensitivity of teeth and gums.

According to studies (and reviews from people), after about 1-2 days of use, Lakalut Active toothpaste can reduce bleeding gums.

The second product of the Active series is Lacalut Aktiv Herbal: based on the paste described above, but with the addition of herbal extracts (chamomile, eucalyptus, star anise, thyme, sage, myrrh, mint and fennel). Thus, the anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties of this product can be considered more pronounced.

Due to the content of plant components, Lakalut Aktiv Herbal toothpaste has strong anti-inflammatory properties.

And the third product in the series - Lacalut Aktiv Intensive cleansing - with a high content of surfactants that cleanse plaque from teeth. It is also characterized by higher foaming.

Review

“I have been struggling with bleeding gums for many years, but pastes have never given the expected effect. Recently, a dentist recommended Lakalut active toothpaste, although the price surprised me a little, it was still a bit high, but I decided to try it. For the therapeutic effect I give it a five plus, it really heals the gums, I stopped spitting out blood in the morning. But there is one “but”. Immediately after brushing your teeth, your mouth remains dry, even your teeth seem dry. You have to rinse several times to get rid of this feeling. I decided for myself that I would use it only for treatment.”

Composition, types and properties of Lacalut Aktiv toothpaste

Lakalut Active is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory toothpaste produced in Germany by T heiss N aturwaren GMBH . All drugs of this brand are tested and approved by the German Dental Society and the Russian Dental Institute of the Ministry of Health.
The composition of Lakalut Active paste includes mainly plant components , due to which the drug has a very gentle effect on the enamel and is suitable even for cleaning sensitive teeth. Long-term use of the product reduces the risk of caries and other dental diseases.

Lakalut toothpaste tastes good and has a sweetish menthol smell. According to the results of numerous surveys, it is after its use that halitosis completely disappears and fresh breath lasts the longest.

The key feature of the Lakalut Active paste series is the fight against bleeding gums. They help cope with plaque on teeth, increased sensitivity of enamel, and carious stains. But most of all they are suitable for people who suffer from periodontal diseases.

Composition of Lakalut toothpaste

The name Lakalut paste comes from the main active ingredient - aluminum lactate. Aluminum lactate is a lactic acid salt. The substance stops bleeding gums, fights inflammation and is guaranteed to reduce tooth sensitivity.

Why is aluminum lactate dangerous in dentistry?

Aluminum lactate is not as harmless as it seems. This substance:

  • well absorbed into tissue;
  • accumulates in the body;
  • promotes calcium excretion;
  • with prolonged use, it affects brain cells;
  • negatively affects hemoglobin synthesis;
  • penetrates the placenta and affects the fetus.

Lakalut Active toothpaste should not be used for too long, as this can lead to serious health problems. But periodic or course use of the product is quite acceptable. Children's toothpastes that contain aluminum lactate should be used with caution. They are completely contraindicated for children under 8 years of age.

What else does Lacalut Aktive toothpaste contain?

In addition to the aluminum salt of lactic acid described above, Lakalut toothpaste includes:

  • Fluoride compounds, including those with aluminum, which help mineralize tooth enamel, improve the condition of the gum mucosa, and protect teeth from exposure to acids.
  • Bisabolol is a natural substance synthesized in the laboratory from pharmaceutical chamomile and cotton or corn. Bisabolol has the following properties: anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, regenerating and protecting enamel.
  • Allantoin is a natural compound not produced by human cells. It has wound-healing, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and softening properties.
  • Chlorhexidine bigluconate is an effective antiseptic.

All components of Lakalut Active toothpaste are effective in the fight against caries and other dental diseases.

Indications for use

Lacalut Aktiv is a medicinal drug, so its use requires the presence of any indications. Sometimes this toothpaste is prescribed by a dentist, but due to its open sale, it can be purchased by absolutely anyone, regardless of whether they have any pathologies.

The key indications for the use of Lakalut paste are:

  • plaque;
  • increased bleeding of gums;
  • tartar;
  • caries;
  • gingivitis;
  • periodontitis;
  • other inflammatory processes in the mouth.

Lakalut can be used even in the absence of any dental pathologies, but it is better to practice course use of the product.

The maximum recommended period for brushing your teeth with Lacalut paste without breaks is 60 days, but it is better to use it for no more than 30 days. For the next 2-3 months, you should brush your teeth with a toothpaste that does not contain aluminum lactate. After this, you can again use Lacalut Aktiv or whitening paste from the same manufacturer.

For tartar

The manufacturer of Lakalut Active states that the drug should fight tartar. But in fact, it can only help with small deposits and yellow plaque. Therefore, it will not be possible to avoid periodic visits to the dentist for professional teeth cleaning, but this toothpaste may be suitable for preventing the formation of dental plaque.

When your gums bleed

Lakalut toothpaste helps combat increased gum bleeding after the first use. The components of the drug quickly relieve inflammation and catalyze the regeneration of the gum mucosa. They strengthen loose gum tissue and destroy pathogenic microflora in the oral cavity.

For caries

No toothpaste cures cavities, so if cavities occur, you should contact your dentist. But Lakalut helps reduce the rate of expansion of carious holes and prevents caries from penetrating the root system of the tooth.

Sometimes Lakalut Active is prescribed by dentists to treat dental caries. In this case, the course of therapy lasts from 1 to 2 months and is accompanied by regular dental check-ups.

Varieties

There are several varieties of Lakalut Active. Each toothpaste in this series is highly effective and has a long-lasting therapeutic effect.

Lacalut Active Herbal

Lakalut Herbal is distinguished by the greatest naturalness of its components, compared to other products in the product group line. It contains extracts of the following herbs:

  • chamomile;
  • eucalyptus;
  • fennel;
  • anise;
  • sage;
  • thyme;
  • myrrh.

The paste restores the microflora of the oral cavity and restores freshness to breath. Lacalut Aktiv Herbal fights well against periodontal diseases, stomatitis and bleeding gums. Thanks to its natural composition, this toothpaste can be used for a long time and even a little longer than the permissible 60 days.

Lacalut Aktiv "Intensive cleansing"

Lacalut Aktiv “Intensive Cleansing” paste is a strong dental treatment and prophylactic agent. It strengthens gums and copes with periodontal diseases.

The components contained in it form a protective film over each tooth, ensuring their immunity to the action of various acids.

This variety of Lacalut is indicated during an exacerbation of dangerous chronic dental diseases.

Lacalut Aktiv “Intense cleansing” reduces the sensitivity of enamel and gums to cold and hot. This product is indicated after the use of whitening preparations, since due to the components contained in the composition, it restores the protective dental layer, thereby ensuring easy mineralization.

Lakalut Activ “Intensive Cleansing” contains a large number of whitening granules and an increased amount of fluorides, which suggests its high effectiveness for various dental problems.

What tubes does Lakalut come in?

All toothpastes in the Lacalut series, including Lacalut Sensitive and White toothpastes, are produced in tubes according to:

  • 30 ml;
  • 50 ml;
  • 75 ml;
  • 100 (25+75) ml.

The tubes are convenient for daily use. A large package can be easily placed in the bathroom, and a small package can be taken with you on a trip.

How not to buy a fake Lacalut Active

Lacalut is one of the most frequently counterfeited toothpastes. You can buy a counterfeit in a pharmacy, in a chain store, or on the market, so you should carefully examine the product packaging and focus on other criteria that indicate its authenticity.

Promotion as the first sign of fake

Sometimes chain stores hold various product sales. Many people are used to weekly supermarket promotions, but purchasing branded goods with deep discounts is dangerous.

Even in large retail chains, Lakalut with promotions like markdown (discount of more than 30–40%) may be counterfeit and not original from a German manufacturer.

It is better to purchase this toothpaste in professional pharmacies, without focusing on promotions.

Characteristic signs of a fake

The appearance of a fake toothpaste may be no different from the original. But most often, tubes of fake Lakalut are painted in not too bright and rich colors, and the packaging of the fake has dull letters printed on it. Moreover, sometimes it seems that the paint was smeared during application, which simply cannot be the case if we are talking about the original.

The release series of Lakalut Active is always indicated on the front of the tube; variations are possible on fakes. On the original, the numbers are always machine-stamped; on the fake, they are applied with paint.

Moreover, the size of these numbers differs from the signs on the packaging of the original drug.

Another difference between the original Lacalut paste and the fake one is the different barcode application. The barcode of the original toothpaste starts with the numbers 400–440.

But some counterfeit manufacturers may place the correct barcode on the packaging.

Combination of Lakalut Active with Lakalut White

If you have been diagnosed with bleeding gums, but really want to whiten your teeth, you can use Lacalut White toothpaste. But only if the White product is combined with the Aktiv series. The protocol for using these drugs should be checked with your doctor.

Lakalut White does not contain hydrogen peroxide. The abrasive particles included in its composition are presented in a concentration that is safe for the health of the enamel. Thanks to this, White paste effectively and gently copes with plaque and age spots, restoring the natural whiteness of teeth.

The combination of White and Aktiv products will help avoid thinning of the enamel and enhance the effectiveness of the whitening product. To achieve an even greater brightening and healing effect, you can use Extra Sensitive paste once a week.

Lacalut Aktiv toothpaste is suitable for the prevention of caries and other dangerous diseases of the oral cavity. But before using it, you should consult your dentist.

Whitening toothpastes Lakalut

Lakalut toothpastes from the White series are positioned as whitening and capable of returning (restoring) the natural whiteness of a smile. An important point is that you should not expect that these products, like hydrogen peroxide, will lighten tooth enamel: no, in this case we are talking about mechanical lightening of the surface of the teeth by removing various pigmented deposits.

Whitening pastes remove pigmented deposits from the surface of the enamel - due to this, teeth become visually lighter.

Thus, if your enamel is naturally yellow, spotted or even brown, then you will not be able to get a snow-white Hollywood smile.

So, the White line includes whitening pastes:

  • White – basic product;

    Tube of Lacalut White paste

  • White&Repair – in addition to whitening, it provides a remineralizing effect, that is, it saturates tooth enamel with mineral components;

    Lakalut White

  • White Edelweiss – here the “highlight” to the whitening effect is the presence of extracts of alpine edelweiss, sage, mantle and verbena. Due to this, pronounced anti-inflammatory, wound healing and antioxidant effects are achieved;

    Lacalute White Edelweiss toothpaste with edelweiss extract.

  • White Alpenminze – with alpine mint extract for maximum fresh breath.

    Lakalut White Alpenminze

For example, the Lacalut White whitening toothpaste has an abrasiveness index of RDA 120, that is, slightly above the average value, therefore it cleans the enamel quite carefully and in some cases is suitable even for sensitive teeth (for which, generally speaking, the use of whitening pastes is often undesirable due to... thinned enamel).

Composition of Lakalut White toothpaste:

Let's look at the features of the composition of Lakalut White toothpaste...

The presence of pyrophosphates in the composition, which are effective complexing agents, allows you to gradually destroy the tartar matrix by extracting calcium ions from it. However, it should be understood that this sometimes has a negative effect, since calcium will also be extracted to some extent from the surface layer of tooth enamel. That is why the use of toothpastes with pyrophosphates is usually not recommended for people with sensitive teeth.

On a note

But the presence of potassium pyrophosphate (Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate) allows you to achieve a double effect: in addition to the action of the pyrophosphate part, potassium ions also work - penetrating into the dentinal tubules, they reduce the sensitivity of teeth to various irritants. It would seem great - it means your teeth won’t ache from cold, sour, etc. However, if whitening toothpastes with potassium compounds are used incorrectly, a person may simply not notice that he is causing damage to his teeth - they will not signal the presence of a problem with pain, and this is a certain danger.

Not without the presence of sodium lauryl sulfate in the composition of Lakalut White - the possible harm of this substance was noted above. And in addition to it, there are also preservatives methylparaben and propylparaben, the dangers of which are also controversial today.

It is also useful to read: President toothpastes, features of their composition and reviews of use

In general, we can say that the composition of the paste is well suited for those people whose teeth are fine, but have plaque or tartar. Although even in this case, the manufacturer recommends using the product in courses - no more than 4 weeks.

The price of Lakalut toothpastes with a whitening effect is about 250-350 rubles.

Review

“Although the Lakalut whitening paste does whiten, it’s not as strong as they promise. In just a month, I noticed a lightening of the enamel by about half a tone. And this despite the fact that I brush my teeth regularly, even three times a day. And I also noticed an unpleasant feature - after tea or coffee, the enamel immediately seems to darken greatly. True, there are some advantages: my gums have stopped bleeding. But that’s not what I was looking for, so I’m unlikely to buy it again.”

Lakalut Active and Phytoformula: composition and instructions for toothpaste, photo

Lacalut toothpastes (Dr. Theiss Naturwaren GmbH) have earned the approval of dentists and recognition of buyers in Russia. Each product has a quality certificate and meets international requirements for medicines.

Features of pastes

A special feature of Lakalut toothpastes is the presence of aluminum lactate, which is also called Lakalut. Aluminum lactate is a salt of lactic acid, which has medicinal and therapeutic qualities. The substance has astringent and hemostatic properties, has a beneficial effect on the gums and periodontal tissue, and prevents inflammatory processes in the oral cavity.

The advantages of Lakalut toothpastes are as follows:

  • a wide range allows you to choose Lakalut paste for specific requirements,
  • a good selection of quality toothpastes for children and teenagers,
  • mild effect thanks to herbal extracts in the formula,
  • long-term use reduces the risk of dental diseases, including caries, gingivitis, periodontitis,
  • approval of Lakalut toothpastes by many international institutions, as well as the Dental Research Institute of the Ministry of Health.

Types of Lakalut toothpaste

The assortment for adults includes more than 20 types of Lakalut toothpastes. They differ in additional components, purpose, and abrasiveness indicators. Key series that are most popular:

  • Active – fights bleeding gums,
  • White – includes whitening components,
  • Sensitive – suitable for those with sensitive tooth enamel,
  • Baby – for children 0-4 years old,
  • Kids – children 4-8 years old,
  • Teens – children 8-12 years old.

Lacalut Active

Preventive toothpaste for adults Lakalut Active helps strengthen gums, prevents bleeding and periodontitis. Indications for its use: gingivitis, gingival bleeding, hard and soft plaque, prevention of caries, periodontopathy.

The instructions for use recommend using the paste in courses of 30-60 days during periods when the gums are bothering you or to prevent their inflammation. The paste should be alternated with other Lakalut products. For example, use White, Alpin, Fitoformula in the morning, and Lakalut Active in the evening. The pharmacological action of Lakalut toothpastes from the Aktiv line is as follows:

  • antiseptic,
  • hemostatic,
  • restorative,
  • increasing the resistance of enamel to acids,
  • anti-caries.

The adhesive substances in the paste contain chlorhexidine molecules, due to which the product fights plaque.

Bisabolol and aluminum lactate in Lakalut help strengthen gums, regenerate soft tissues, normalize the pH of the oral cavity, and reduce enamel sensitivity.

Additionally, Aktiv Herbal paste contains extracts of sage, star anise, chamomile, essential oils of fennel, eucalyptus, and thyme.

There are many reasons why gums become loose and ulcers and wounds appear on them. This is a lack of vitamins, fungal and infectious diseases, injuries, accidental exposure to toxic environments. Thanks to its high-quality composition, the Lacalut Aktiv paste effectively fights inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity.

Users note that after regular use for a month, the condition of the gums significantly improves, soft plaque disappears, tartar becomes thinner with each brushing, and bad breath disappears. This Lakalut paste has an astringent effect, which not everyone likes. The limitation on its use is explained by the presence of antiseptics, which, with prolonged use, disturb the pH of the oral cavity.

The product is produced in tubes of 30, 50, 75, 100 ml. The cost of a 75 ml tube ranges from 150 to 180 rubles.

Lacalut Phytoformula

The paste formula contains sodium bicarbonate, crystalline amorphous silicon, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium fluoride, chlorhexidine, aluminum lactate and other components.

In addition to them, the Lacalut Fitoformula product contains a complex of extracts of medicinal plants - myrrh, St. John's wort, green tea, sage.

It does not contain potent antiseptics and has a mild but effective effect. Thanks to this, you can use it every day.

Dentists recommend Phytoformula for the prevention of caries, treatment of gingivitis, and getting rid of hard and soft plaque. Herbal extracts fight gum inflammation and irritation of the oral mucosa well.

The paste normalizes the pH of the oral cavity and eliminates bacteria that cause caries. It is recommended to use it between courses of Lacalut Aktiv or in parallel with this paste. For example, brush your teeth with Phytoformula in the morning, and Aktiv in the evening.

Additional use of Fresh or Active rinse will enhance the therapeutic effect.

INTERESTING: how often should you brush your teeth and what will happen if you don’t?

Lakalut Phytoformula paste is available in plastic tubes of 50 and 75 ml. It should be stored at a temperature from 0 to 20 degrees. The cost of a 75 ml tube is about 180-200 rubles.

Other types

The company also produces many other effective pastes for the treatment and prevention of oral diseases. A complete list with photos is presented on the official website; you can buy products in pharmacies and online stores. They should be selected based on the nature of the dental problem and the dentist’s recommendations:

  • Basic series. Designed for comprehensive protection of the oral cavity from caries, plaque, and enamel damage. The antiseptic properties of the product protect against the activity of pathogenic microflora and help maintain fresh breath. In addition to the classic mint, you can find several other flavors in the line: Lacalut paste with citrus flavor, ginger with black currant. The pastes of this line are one of the best means for preventing tartar.
  • Sensitive Series. Designed for people with sensitive tooth enamel, as well as for the treatment of dental caries. Prescribed by doctors as restorative therapy after a course of whitening. The main component of the product is amino fluoride. It is rarely used by competing companies due to its high cost. Using the product reduces sensitivity to hot, cold, sweet, spicy foods, and provides gentle comprehensive care for the oral cavity. The paste is used in courses of no more than 60 days in a row.
  • White line. The abrasive substances in the product delicately but effectively remove bacterial plaque. The enamel remains clean and protected from microdamage. At the same time, the product restores and maintains its natural whiteness. The paste does not contain hydrogen peroxide, which is harmful to teeth. New in the line is White&repair antimicrobial paste. It brightens the enamel, strengthens the tissues of the oral cavity, and prevents the development of caries.
  • Fluor Series. Its formula includes a high fluoride content, but this dose is harmless to health. Use the paste as recommended by a doctor. In addition to other advantages of this Lakalut series, it increases the resistance of enamel to the harmful effects of bacteria and acids. Together with the paste, a remineralizing gel has been developed, which effectively cleanses soft plaque and increases enamel protection.

READ IN DETAIL: Lakalut Sensitive toothpaste for sensitive teeth

What does it contain?

The creamy structure and good foaming of Lacalut toothpastes helps to clean the oral cavity very well. The high-quality composition of the paste allows you to fight and prevent problems with teeth and gums. The manufacturer included in Lakalut toothpastes:

  • Aluminum lactate. Strengthens and compacts gums, eliminates bleeding, reduces enamel sensitivity.
  • Allantoin. Fights inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, heals microcracks and wounds.
  • Aluminum fluoride. Mineralizes weak enamel, preventing its destruction under the influence of cariogenic bacteria.
  • Fluoride compounds. Improve the condition of the gums, protect the enamel from the effects of acids.
  • Chlorhexidine bigluconate. A good antiseptic that breaks down plaque and prevents its new formation.
  • Natural silicon. Viscosity regulator, effective absorbent.
  • Polymers, surfactants, Sodium Chloride, colloidal silicon and other additional components. They maintain the desired consistency, relieve swelling of the gums, and enhance the activity of other ingredients.

How to use Lakalut paste correctly?

According to the manufacturer's recommendation, Lacalut toothpaste can be used daily, morning and evening after meals. The daily serving size is about the size of a pea. A larger quantity will create a lot of foam, which will interfere with quality cleaning.

The instructions for each series indicate the optimal period of use:

  • The active is used for a course of 30-60 days for exacerbation of gum inflammation and bleeding. The product can be alternated with White, Alpin, Fitoformula pastes.
  • Sensitive is used in a 1-2 month course. It is recommended to combine it in the morning with the Alpin series for additional sensitivity reduction. Or in the evening the paste can be combined with a Fluor series product, which will provide additional enamel protection.
  • White is used for a course of no more than 4 weeks. The abrasiveness of the product is 120 units. After this, you should switch to branded pastes of lower abrasiveness (up to 75).
  • Multi-effect suitable for daily use by the whole family. It solves 5 main problems: keeps breath fresh, whitens, strengthens enamel and gums, protects against caries.
  • Basic line pastes are used for daily preventive care. They should be combined with the White, Sensitive line. For example, in the morning you can provide basic care to your teeth, and before going to bed, brush your teeth with a whitening paste, which will remove plaque well.

You should brush your teeth with Lakalut pastes for 2-3 minutes, using a properly selected brush. It is important to carefully massage the gums and pay attention to the tongue. Movements with the brush should be vertical, from the gums to the cutting edge.

Circular manipulations will not clear plaque, horizontal manipulations will provoke the development of a wedge-shaped defect. First, the teeth of the upper jaw are cleaned, then the lower jaw. Next comes the inner surface of the cheeks and tongue.

Additionally, you should use dental floss and mouthwash of a suitable series.

Lakalut Sensitive and Extra Sensitive

The Sensitive line includes two toothpastes to reduce tooth sensitivity:

  • Lacalut Sensitive;

    Tube of Lacalut Sensitive paste

  • Lacalut Extra Sensitive.

Let's start with the first: Lakalut Sensitive toothpaste was specially developed for people with sensitive and damaged enamel (to reduce the unpleasant effects of hyperesthesia), and at the same time is a fairly effective means for the prevention of caries, including cervical caries. Specialists from the Dental Association of the Russian Federation have approved this product as a drug for the care of sensitive teeth.

Composition of Lakalut Sensitive paste:

The photo shows the composition of Lakalut Sensitive paste...

From the composition it is clear that the main active ingredients that fight hyperesthesia are sodium fluoride and the Olaflur complex (a combination of amino fluoride and tin fluoride). All these fluoride-containing components contribute to the mineralization of enamel, its restoration, as well as the blockage of exposed dentinal tubules, which together leads to a decrease in painful tooth sensitivity.

In general, this paste does not contain all the ways to reduce tooth sensitivity. In this regard, Lacalut Extra Sensitive looks much more “advanced”. Here is its composition:

Composition of Lakalut Extra Sensitive toothpaste...

That is, in addition to sodium fluoride and olaflur, substances were also used that significantly enhance the effect:

  • potassium chloride – potassium ions reduce the sensitivity of nerve endings in the dentinal tubules;
  • strontium acetate - effectively clogs the dentinal tubules, making the movement of fluid in them immune to the action of external irritants (accordingly, the nerve endings are not irritated).

Thus, to solve the problem of tooth sensitivity, the composition of Lacalut Extra Sensitive paste is designed quite well (in most cases, the effect will be felt after the first use). This product is also well suited as a restorative after the so-called in-office teeth whitening procedure.

Both described pastes are used in courses of 30-60 days.

Review

“...After teeth whitening, I didn’t know what to do with myself, it even hurt to drink water, the enamel became so sensitive. I read reviews about Lakalut extra toothpaste for sensitive teeth and bought one for myself at the pharmacy. And it really helped! After cleaning it immediately felt better; I kept it in my mouth for 5 minutes. And after a week I was able to calmly eat hot and cold.”

Lakalut children's toothpastes

Lakalut children's toothpastes are presented in three products:

  • Baby – for children up to 4 years old;

    Children's toothpaste for baby teeth Lacalut Baby (for babies from 0 to 4 years).

  • Kids – for children from 4 to 8 years old;

    Lakalut Kids (for children from 4 to 8 years old).

  • Teens – for teenagers (children over 8 years old).

    It is more correct to call Lakalut Thins toothpaste a gel (this product is intended for children over 8 years old).

All products are positioned as safe for children’s health, they can be swallowed, they have a pleasant taste, so children enjoy brushing their teeth with such toothpastes.

However, it is worth noting that each indicated option contains fluorine compounds (olaflur is amino fluoride and tin fluoride). Such is the trend today that not everyone will agree to buy toothpaste with fluoride for a child under 2-3 years old, especially with fluoride of the heavy metal - tin, and especially considering that babies can swallow up to 40% of the toothpaste when brushing their teeth. And again, it is worth considering that the paste contains the preservatives methylparaben and propylparaben.

Review

“My little one really likes Lakalut children's toothpaste, and the price suits us. My son says that brushing his teeth is delicious for him, he even asks for it in the evening. The effect is excellent - teeth are white and strong. The dentist also said that she had not seen such healthy teeth in children for a long time. I will definitely buy this paste again."

 During his last visit to the dentist, the doctor asked my son what toothpaste my Vanya uses to brush his teeth. His answer was Colgate or Aquafresh. The doctor stated that all of them do not provide any benefit to dental health, since they do not take into account their characteristics in adolescence.

I am the mother of two children - a 12-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter. For a long time I bought Lakalut toothpaste for my son. And when the time came, my daughter began to use it. For our family, dental problems are especially relevant. Therefore, we try to listen to all recommendations of dentists. During one of our visits, the doctor recommended us the Teens series paste.

We recently switched to this toothpaste on the advice of our dentist. We are completely satisfied with it. My son is still small - he just recently turned 1 year and 3 months. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to rinse our mouths after brushing our teeth. But we don't know of any problems with this toothpaste. It foams beautifully and is easily washed off with water. It is also important that after it my son does not feel any aftertaste.
