Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

When choosing toothpaste, you should pay attention to the condition of the oral cavity. It will also be important to consult a dentist and study reviews about a particular product. Recently, many oral hygiene products made in China have appeared on the Russian market. Let's look at Chinese toothpastes, their features and varieties.

What problems can toothpaste help solve?

Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

Dentists note that there are no universal toothpastes that can cope with all conditions in the oral cavity at once. When choosing, as well as to achieve maximum effect, you need to focus specifically on the problem.

What problems will the paste help solve?

  • plaque on tooth enamel;
  • prevention of caries or other dental pathologies;
  • reduction of increased sensitivity of the dentition;
  • improvement of gum condition;
  • whitening tooth enamel.

Types of toothpastes

All toothpastes that are presented on the Russian market can be divided into several groups:

  • hygienic - often marked Fhyto, intended for daily use, they cope with bad breath and remove plaque accumulated on the teeth during the day;
  • therapeutic and prophylactic - clean tooth enamel, and, depending on the active component, prevent certain conditions of the oral cavity (for example, toothpaste for sensitive teeth is always marked Sensitive);
  • medicinal – used for diseases and are often marked Active;
  • Bleaching products are abrasive products marked White.
  • Dentists note that there are no safe toothpastes with a whitening effect, so they must be used carefully. They can scratch tooth enamel and thin gums, making them more likely to bleed. It is better to use them not on a regular basis, but periodically.

    Price: $17.01 (for 16 pcs.)

    I continue to talk about South Korean toothpastes produced by Amore Pacific, this time I’ll tell you about the relatively new Median Dental IQ 93% .

    As before, toothpastes were purchased from the largest South Korean online store GMarket.

    In the product line under the general name Median Dental IQ 93% there are four toothpastes. “93 percent” in the name of the line indicates that, according to the manufacturer, when used, the paste removes the pathogenic environment by preventing the deposition of bacteria by 93% and has an antibacterial effect. The paste is divided according to the color of the boxes and tubes as follows:

    • Green - positioned as a toothpaste for the prevention of gum inflammation. To protect gums, the paste contains extracts of green tea and mint. It has a soft granule composition that effectively protects gums from bleeding and inflammation, nourishes tooth enamel with minerals and prevents the proliferation of plaque bacteria. Has a low degree of abrasiveness. The rate of inflammation reduction is 71%.
    • Blue - positioned as a classic toothpaste for daily care and caries prevention. Has a sweet mint flavor. The paste contains silica microparticles, which remove plaque and hinder its further formation.
    • Red - positioned as a toothpaste for effective removal of plaque and tartar, has a high degree of abrasiveness (RDA-120). Polishes and whitens teeth without erasing or damaging the enamel.
    • White - positioned as a toothpaste for teeth whitening, has a high degree of abrasiveness (RDA-90). Has the taste of mint and lemon.

    The entire line of Median Dental IQ 93% toothpastes contains zeolite, a mineral of volcanic origin, which enhances the deodorizing and cleansing effect, and has a sorbing and antimicrobial effect. Gently polishes the surface of teeth without damaging the enamel. Mass fraction of fluorides is less than 0.15%. Tube weight: 120 grams.

    Conclusions:

    Honestly, I don’t see much difference between Median Dental IQ 93% and Median Original 86%, which I wrote about in my very first review of toothpastes from South Korea. It seems to me that the manufacturer simply slightly updated the already well-known 86% product line and added to it another type of toothpaste with a low degree of abrasiveness for problem gums. Personally, by the way, I didn’t really like the green paste, it has some kind of “creamy” consistency, although it cleans normally, I can’t say anything bad, it’s a matter of taste. In any case, the pastes are of high quality, and Amore Pacific products are time-tested. In general, I recommend it!

    PS As a gift, because... I took a lot of goods, the seller included “samples” - small tubes of Median Dental IQ 93% weighing 20 grams. Very convenient if you don’t want to take a large tube with you on a short trip.

    Black toothpaste from China: product features

    Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

    If you look at the large assortment of teeth cleaning products presented on the Russian market, you will notice that most toothpastes are white. There are also multi-colored ones, but they are more intended for children. This is why the Chinese oral product, which is black in color, stands out so much.

    The paste has this pigment thanks to a special component - crushed bamboo charcoal. The manufacturer noted that this is the best whitening agent that is safe for use and does not affect the condition of tooth enamel and gums. In addition, the Chinese have been using coal soot for a long time, more than a thousand years, to clean their teeth.

    Features of black toothpaste:

  • homogeneous consistency (grains of soot are not felt in it);
  • the taste is sweetish and slightly menthol;
  • brushes teeth gently, but there is a taste in the mouth, like after using black coal;
  • has a whitening effect.
  • The manufacturer notes that with prolonged use of the product, plaque disappears on the teeth, and the color of the enamel noticeably lightens. It is intended for people with nicotine addiction and coffee lovers. You can use the paste every day, since it is natural based, without the use of abrasives.

    In the reviews, users noted that it may not be suitable for everyone in terms of taste. It does not create a quick refreshing effect, does not remove bad breath from the mouth, but at the same time it has a gentle effect on tooth enamel and is inexpensive.

    What to look for when choosing?

    Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

    Dentists note that every person should have several toothpastes. One is for daily use, the other is for a therapeutic effect in case of a problem in the oral cavity. A hygienic, therapeutic and prophylactic product is suitable for daily use, and a whitening and medicinal toothpaste for periodic use.

    What to look for when choosing:

  • abrasive (cleaning substance) - in cheap pastes it is calcium carbonate (chalk), in expensive ones - sodium bicarbonate (salt) or silicon compound (the size of the abrasive should be medium 70 - 80 RDA, high levels scratch tooth enamel, small ones are included in the paste for sensitive teeth and children's products, since they have a gentle effect);
  • fluorine - it should be included in a small amount (up to 2 mg per 1 g), oversaturation of the body with fluoride is toxic, but it is necessary for tooth enamel (lack of fluorine - caries, excess leads to the appearance of spots on tooth enamel, changing its color from yellow to brown).
  • You should not buy those toothpastes that state that they provide dental care for 24 hours. They often contain too much antibiotic, which kills not only microbes, but also beneficial flora, causing dysbiosis in the oral cavity.

    What do the stripes on toothpaste tubes mean?

    We've all seen stripes like this. True, the number of people who know what they mean is negligible. And it's a shame. It would be useful to know what they mean and why you need to pay attention to these stripes when choosing toothpaste. These strips appear to demonstrate the chemical content of the paste. The color of the strip, as it were, signals what disease the use of a particular toothpaste can lead to:

    • If you find a black stripe on the tube, it means that the paste contains chemicals that increase the development of periodontal disease. Most often, such strips are found on “whitening pastes,” so not all of them can whiten teeth.
    • Red stripe - the composition contains substances that are generally hazardous to health.
    • Blue stripe - contains an acceptable amount of synthetic substances that do not pose a health hazard.
    • And the last, green stripe - completely natural raw materials and environmentally friendly substances. This is the so-called phytopaste, and you should brush your teeth with it morning and evening.

    What do the stripes on toothpaste tubes mean? By their color, you can determine the percentage of beneficial and harmful substances. The black stripe is 100% chemical. A tube with a red stripe contains only 20% of beneficial substances and as much as 80% of harmful and hazardous to health. The tube with the red stripe has an equal ratio of beneficial and harmful substances. That is 50/50. Well, the tube with the green stripe contains 100% useful and safe substances. You need to look for these strips from the bottom of the tube. After reading this information, you should pay attention to this and take your choice of pasta more seriously.

    Rating

    Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

    While teeth cleaning products from China are not popular on the Russian market, they are gaining an ever larger army of fans every year. Users note that their quality is not inferior to world-famous European brands, and they are also affordable for domestic consumers.

    We present the rating of the best toothpastes for 2020:

    1. Dentavite Sensitive. Suitable for weakened and thin tooth enamel, reduces sensitivity, protects against caries and promotes the penetration of minerals into the tooth. Regular use of the paste restores microdamage to the enamel and reduces sensitivity. The cost of the product is in the middle price category.
    2. SATO Access. It occupies a prominent place in the market of medicinal and therapeutic-and-prophylactic pastes. It contains myrrh, chamomile and ratania root, which relieves inflammation, reduces gum bleeding, reduces swelling and destroys bacteria. There are no whitening elements in it. But it is almost impossible to find in pharmacies. In terms of its properties, this drug is very similar to the above-mentioned Chinese toothpaste, but costs much more.
    3. Oralcare Protezione Gengive (Biorepair). This is a professional treatment and prophylactic remedy, applicable for paradontosis, gingivitis, periodontitis and severe damage to tooth enamel. The composition contains vitamins and hyaluronic acid. The product is expensive and is not sold in most pharmacies.
    4. Splat. Paste with bioactive calcis to restore tooth enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Eliminates plaque on teeth, improves gum health, but takes a long time to wash out and has a specific taste that is not suitable for everyone.
    5. "Acepta Sensitive". Suitable for those who have an excess of fluoride in the body. It foams well, has a pleasant mint taste, reduces sensitivity, removes plaque, and maintains the natural whiteness of teeth. But it contains dye.
    6. "Apadent." Toothpaste actively restores tooth enamel, destroys caries, and provides high-quality oral hygiene, but the cost is high.

    Review of whitening pastes with medicinal herbs

    Chinese toothpastes: review, composition, rating, reviews

    There are several teeth cleaning products on the Russian market that are not inferior in properties and quality to their European counterparts, but are affordable.

    CHAOJIE and TianWu pastes made in China have good whitening properties, which are achieved due to the content of natural ingredients.

    CHAOJIE toothpaste is intended for use by persons over 12 years of age. It not only has a whitening effect, but also is antibacterial and ensures good oral hygiene. It gently removes plaque from tooth enamel without scratching it. It also freshens breath well, removing bad breath, relieves tooth sensitivity, protects them from caries and kills pathogenic bacteria.

    TianWu herbal whitening paste is also antiparandantosis. It is used for gum diseases, restores the oral mucosa, makes gums strong and teeth white. It contains dendrobium from the Orchid family. This plant has been used in Chinese medicine for over a thousand years. Due to its medicinal properties, it is applicable for many diseases.

    TianWu has not yet made it into the ranking of the best toothpastes, but is actively increasing its momentum in the Russian market. Those who have already used the product note that it has a good anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. The paste actively eliminates inflammation of the gums, strengthens and whitens teeth, and fights bad breath. In addition to denrodium, there is an extract of tian qi, safflower flower, angelica dahurian and honeysuckle flower bud.

    Thanks to many natural components in the composition, the paste has good characteristics, therefore it is applicable in the presence of various dental pathologies. But if you have an allergic reaction to one of the components, you should not use it.

    Popular brands of whitening toothpastes

    The first paste that can rightfully be considered Chinese is TM Biao Bang. She is famous and extremely popular in her native country, but recently people have started talking about her quite often in Russia. Outwardly, it is completely no different from ordinary ones, except that the instructions on it are written in Chinese and English. Judging by the description, the paste gently whitens teeth by cleansing the enamel from plaque, coffee, cigarettes, and food dyes. In addition, it promises to whiten the upper layers of the tooth. Judging by its composition, it is unlikely to have such properties. It contains: sorbitol, sodium saccharinate, titanium dioxide, bronopol (2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol), water, sodium monofluorophosphate, citroxaine, tocopherol, sea minerals, seaweed extract, silicon dioxide. This is a fairly common list of ingredients for any other pasta. And the most interesting thing is that there is not a single component in it that would actually whiten the enamel. Typically, various oxides are used for this. Here, as you can see, they are not there. Whitening Chinese toothpaste cannot provide a change in the pigment of the upper layers of the tooth.

    However, it is impossible to say that it does not affect the color of teeth at all. For the most part, the unpleasant shade of enamel is formed precisely because of plaque. It gradually becomes colored from smoking, regular consumption of coffee, other drinks and foods with a high content of dyes. If you get rid of plaque, you can make your teeth somewhat whiter, and with more careful care, even bring them to their natural shade. This is exactly what TM Biao Bang paste does. The second pasta, popular in our country, can hardly be called Chinese. The fact is that it is produced by the fairly well-known concern Tiens. Its products are freely available. The paste from this company is produced under the name Orecare. The manufacturer does not position it as a Chinese teeth whitener. Reviews show that it is in this capacity that it is used most often. According to the manufacturer's promises, containing a maximum of natural ingredients, the paste has a beneficial effect on the health of teeth and gums.

    Regarding the improvement of mucous membranes, reviews always write about this paste. After it, sensitivity significantly decreases, bleeding goes away, and the paste itself does not irritate the gums during cleaning. People with especially sensitive teeth and gums, who have tried it at least once, return to this paste again. Many people, with regular use, began to notice that their teeth were somewhat whiter, and they did not get the same effect from standard products. From this we can conclude that the paste has an excellent abrasive, but at the same time quite soft effect, thanks to which it removes plaque well and thereby makes the smile more attractive.

    Review of bactericidal Chinese toothpaste Biao Bang

    This teeth cleaning product also contains a large number of natural ingredients. It has high cleansing properties, restores the integrity of tooth enamel, copes well with plaque and promotes the dissolution of tartar.

    Toothpaste has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, antiseptic effects. The composition contains mint oil, eucalyptus extract and snake venom.

    According to reviews, Chinese toothpaste Biao Bang removes plaque well and removes tartar after just a week of regular use. The instructions say that you need to use the product at least twice a day, but it is better to brush your teeth after each meal. The cost is 410 rubles.
